Done - and Re-Done! (And a reminder)

I made this card for Susan's blog challenge from last week (on her blog Simplicity.)  She has started a weekly challenge to do a One-Layer Card and each week will have one requirement.  The requirement last week was to use glitter or flocking.  I chose glitter.  (This week's challenge is to use a punctuation stamp.  I have done one for that challenge, too, which I will share with you next week.  I have lots of cards to share!)

The flowers are stamped with my Essential Glue Pad with a stamp from Stampology, then glittered with some glitter from a Martha Stewart 24-pack.  (I had a 50% off coupon a couple weeks ago and HAD to use it.  Now I better keep using glitter!!  What was I thinking!)  I doodled the lines around the edges of the flowers and the flower centers and added Stickles to the centers.  The glittered lines around the edges are done using Scor-Tape.  Just put the tape down, remove the backing, and add your glitter.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
This is the same card (different lighting, sorry.)  I thought it was lacking something.  I had another flower already stamped, glittered and cut out, so I added Pop Dots and put it on the card.  The butterfly (from Repeat Impressions) was stamped on scrap paper and also onto the card front.  I colored it with SU! markers and mounted it on Pop Dots.  I used a glue pen and clear glitter on it.  I think this is the card my mom is getting.  My mother-in-law's card has been done since my birthday!  See this post:)

I also want to remind you of Repeat Impressions sketch challenge, found here.  It's a great chance to win a $25 gift certificate for their awesome stamps!  Plus, it's a fun sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I sure like the additions you made to the card! Popping an image really give a card more "personality". :)
